SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS ROE V. WADE

“Tracking Which States Banned Abortion Today. Abortion is now banned in at least five states, with trigger laws in eight more states set to take effect in the coming days. Laws in four states — Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri and South Dakota — went into effect on Friday in response to the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Oklahoma passed a law in May prohibiting nearly all abortions. Expected legal status of abortion without Roe. The New York Times is tracking abortion laws in each state following the court’s decision. The states fall into five categories: those where abortion is now or likely to be prohibited; those where it is likely to be prohibited or restricted; those where the status of abortion restrictions is uncertain; those where abortion is expected to remain legal; and those where the procedure will remain legal and where access is being expanded.
